The Community of Reason is an organization dedicated to the examination, explication and analysis of important social, environmental and community issues based on scientific understanding and critical rational thinking.
We welcome all in an open, democratic manner, regardless of nationality, ethnic origin, race, religious beliefs or non-belief, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or age.
The Community of Reason hosts weekly public lectures that cover a diversity of topics and has invited speakers from nearby communities and surrounding states. The Sunday lectures are followed by a question-and-answer session with stimulating discussions and information transfer.
Past Programs have included: Green Technology and Policies, The Schofield Bible, Evolutionary Biology, Global climate Change, Quantum Physics, the 9/11 Commission, The Subprime Meltdown, Madalyn Murray O’Hare, the ACLU, Political Campaigns, Islam, Freud’s Psychology, Economics As Science and Religion, The War on Drugs, Aristotle’s Philosophy, the Social Security crisis, Scripture on the Resurrection, Darwin, Thomas Paine and many more. If you have an inquiring mind, then we welcome you to join the Community of Reason. As a COR member you will receive regular updates on COR activities, information about COR member social functions, and be able to vote on COR issues. An application is submitted to the Board for approval of membership by the Board.

Since we are a 501(c)(3) corporation, your membership fee should be tax deductable if you itemize your deductions, but you should contact your tax consultant to be sure.
