Program for December 15, 2013
1:00 pm till 3:00 pm, at UMKC, Haag Hall, Room 301
Hendrik F. Van Den Berg, Ph.D., Professor of Economics at the University of Nebraska, on Sabbatical at UMKC
When in 2009 the Queen of England asked economists at the London School of Economics why they had not foreseen the financial crisis coming, they evaded the question. To date, mainstream economists continue to avoid answering that question. On the suspicion that we are dealing with a cultural problem rather than a scientific problem,we’ll seek insight from sociology.
