Program for April 10, 2016
1:00 pm till 3:00 pm, at UMKC, Haag Hall, Room 301

Ken Novak, Ph. D., Professor, Dept. of Criminal Justice & Criminology

Public safety is enhanced when police and community work together, but this is often easier said than done, and this relationship is often characterized by mutual mistrust and skepticism. This discussion will focus on police and community relationships in a post-Ferguson America. We will focus on understanding how this mistrust is perpetuated and identify common ground for improving working relationships.
